Like millions of parents, doddl’s founder Cat was fed up of stressful, messy, frustrating mealtimes with her young children. On a family holiday — with her three little ones in tow — her daughter’s fork handle snapped. Cat watched as she picked up the stubby utensil end and ate more confidently and successfully than ever before.
In that moment, Cat realised the issue wasn’t her children. It was their utensils.
Determined to make mealtimes easier for families everywhere, Cat set out to design a better solution. Spending years working closely with child development specialists Cat's aim was to create tools that genuinely support how children learn to eat, make mealtimes easier AND enhance development.
The result was doddl.

Research with experts
After testing with children alongside child development experts from Norland College, the doddl design was born.
