Product details
Your child is getting the hang of feeding themselves and wants more independence. This bundle brings together everything for the next step, including a spoon, fork and first safe knife that your child can use with their whole hand, a plate that stays still, and a case for the same familiar tools wherever they eat.
For children with dyspraxia, low muscle tone, cerebral palsy, autism or other motor differences, standard cutlery, and especially a standard knife, can be very difficult to use. Every tool in this bundle is designed to work with your child's hands, however they grip.
What's in the bundle:
• doddl getting more involved spoon, fork and knife: whole-hand grip on all three, with a palm-action knife
• doddl 3-piece cutlery case: keeps all three utensils clean and familiar at home, school, respite or therapy
• doddl 2-in-1 suction plate: strong suction that holds firm, with a wide, unsectioned surface and front lip. Converts to a non-slip plate when your child is ready
Why families supporting children with additional needs choose this bundle:
• Whole-hand grip on all three utensils
• Palm-action knife: your child pushes down with the strength of their palm, not their fingers
• A plate that stays put, even with involuntary movements
• Purposefully unsectioned plate to avoid triggering food rigidity and sensory issues around food separation
• The same familiar tools in every setting support routine and reduce anxiety
• Recommended by paediatric occupational therapists
• No timelines. No targets. No pressure.
They may be ready if:
• They are showing an interest in chopping food
• They want more independence
• You would like to get them more involved in the kitchen

As a pediatric feeding therapist, the doddl toddler spoon, fork and knife set is one I recommend for 12 months and up. The stainless steel fork prongs help little ones poke food successfully, the ergonomic handles encourage a proper grip, and the spoon's tapered bowl suits little mouths while holding purees and soups.

“doddl cutlery is perfectly designed for a toddler’s hand and the short handle means it’s easier to control. But the best bit for me are the metal heads which make it easy for baby to scoop and fork food compared to chunky plastic heads which can be frustrating for young ones. One of my recommended weaning essentials!”
