doddl was created by Cat — a parent of three children under two, who watched her daughter eat more successfully with a broken fork handle than she could with standard cutlery. That moment revealed a truth: 'children's cutlery' had never been designed FOR children.

Before doddl launched we spent 2 years researching and testing with over 300 children, alongside Child Development Experts from Norland College. The resulting product was validated by Innovate UK, and independently safety-tested at Intertek. Every doddl product is given the same attention and we continue to invest in research and testing to make sure we live up to our promises. Today a live study is running today across 200 children in 3 nursery settings in Paris, France.

How long do doddl products last?
doddl products are built to last through the stage they are designed for — from first bites at 6 months through to your childs first day at school, approximately four to five years of daily use. They are dishwasher safe and built for the full reality of early childhood. Many doddl families use the same set across multiple children.
